September charity: Freshwater Future

We’re proud to introduce our charity partner for the month of September, Freshwater Future. Their mission is to improve all aspects of our Great Lakes’ ecosystem; from providing clean drinking water, sustaining a healthy fishing system, and maintaining clean beaches, Freshwater Future is on the path to elongating a healthy future of the Great Lakes region.

Freshwater Future sees itself as a collaborative organization, where they work to build effective communities by listening to diverse groups’ opinions, appointing advocates, and working amongst Chicago’s residents. This unique approach of involving residents in the decision making create one effective working unit within a community with a common goal of restoring our waters from toxic pollution, destroyed habitats, and other major threats.

There’s still time to enjoy the lake and beach as Summer comes to a close, and you can thank the folks at Freshwater Future for keeping those regions clean!
