Making bouquets with UCP Seguin

March 14, 2016

Our team was treated to visiting UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago, our March charity, for a fun afternoon of bouquet making, music, and pizza. We met with a small group who have cerebral palsy to give a hands-on tutorial in making their very own mini bouquet.

The event was held at UCP Seguin’s greenhouse which was a dream walking into. We were surrounded by rows and rows of potted plants, sprouts, and even some vegetables growing! Patients of UCP were excited to give us the grand tour.

After everyone finished making their bouquet and showing it off, we turned the lesson into a little pizza party. It was such a joy listening to their stories, hearing their inspirations, and seeing how excited flowers made them. We were invited to come back to their prom event in the springtime and cannot wait!
