Chicago Gateway Green is Beautifying Chicago

April 7, 2015

April calls for a change in seasons where the snow melts away and flowers begin to bloom. With the excuse of Earth Day and Arbor Day, we decided to pay homage to Mother Nature this month by donating a quarter of our profits to Chicago Gateway Green, a non-profit that specializes in keeping Chicago clean and beautiful.

With roots dating back to 1986, Gateway Green has strived to beautify Chicago’s expressways and neighborhoods. Through planting tens of thousands of plants and trees as well as removing 1.2 million pounds of litter, Gateway Green has become a major player of keeping the city beautiful and bringing communities together.

Gateway Green hosts several events throughout the year to inspire locals to help beautify their city. One of these events falls on Arbor Day, where Gateway Green leads a neighborhood beautification project; community members join together and plant trees in their local neighborhoods.

For the entire month of April, a quarter of our profits go towards a “Day of Impact” Neighborhood Cleanup on Saturday April 18th. You can volunteer, or you can help us help them in keeping the city beautiful simply by sending flowers.
