$100,000 donated to charity!
September 2, 2015
Today we’re announcing our 100,000th dollar donated to local Chicago charities.
Crazy.
It’s a really big number to us. After all, we started Flowers for Dreams with a mere $2,000, in a parent’s garage, only three short years ago. Honestly we didn’t know if it was a business worth starting and had know idea what would come of it.
Nonetheless, from the get go, we knew we wanted to create a business with a sincere commitment to giving back, at any cost.
Our customers, all of you, have validated that commitment: backing innovative charities solving uniquely Chicago problems. All from the sale of flowers. Many of you have turned us on to our amazing nonprofit partners, so thank you. Some of you have been introduced to them through us, and went on to make far bigger contributions out of your own pockets. You’ve inspired us, thank you.
Thank you for everything.
This $100,000 represents nearly 50,000 bouquets you sent or bought, in Chicago alone, since 2012. Each one of you has played a part in this important accomplishment and we’ll continue to cherish your support. Until the next $100,000, continue to submit charities and send bouquets. We appreciate it.
Come celebrate with us on Thursday, September 17th from 6PM. We’re calling it our 100K party.
